What to do with a 1915 Oakland?

I've just learned I'm going to inherit a 1915 Oakland. It's little more than a pile of scrap on four wheels; I can't imagine anyone with the time, money and experience to restore this car. What can I do with it?? Is there an online record to indicate its ownership history? Do vehicle ID numbers go back that far? I don't want the stupid thing.
