Batman Arkham Asylum wont play on my Xbox 360?

All right so for some reason Batman Arkham Asylum wont play on my Xbox after a certain point...I think its like 45% to 50% into the game. At first I thought it was because it was used so I bought the game again, new this time, but same problem! Batman is walking down this corridor (yea I know doesn't really tell you where in the game) and then the screen starts to flicker and all of sudden the game starts to make these weird noises as the screen starts to freak out. I have no idea what the problem is! I'm thinking its obviously my Xbox but I just don't understand why it would do that to just that one game??? Has this happened to anyone? Do you think I'm gonna have to send it Microsoft? =/
